VACANCY – COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
I am looking for a communications officer to join my busy team, working across both digital and traditional platforms to grow my reach and impact in the constituency.
JOB DETAILS
Location: Dunfermline office, with semi-regular travel to the Westminster office
I am looking for a creative, highly motivated and enthusiastic communicator to take on this role. Previous experience working in parliament is not essential, but demonstrable political interest and awareness will be critical. The Communications Officer is essential in ensuring that my constituents know what I am doing on their behalf, able to turn political activity into engaging content across the different audience segmentations and platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing competing interests to get a coherent message out on my behalf: working alongside the rest of the team to proactively identify opportunities to tell great stories, then making it happen through storyboards, filming and editing, graphic production and drafting press releases.
CONTRACT DETAILS
Job title: Communications Officer
This role is part time, 24 hours (three days) per week. Working days can be flexible but must include Friday.
It is fixed term to 31 March 2026 with the potential to become permanent
Salary is FTE £28,000/pa
