VACANCY – PARLIAMENTARY ASSISTANT
My parliamentary assistant is returning to university and moving to a new role in my constituency office, which has created a vacancy for my office in Westminster.

JOB DETAILS
I am looking for a dynamic, proactive self-starter to take on this role which is essential for the smooth running of my office. Previous experience working in parliament is not essential, but demonstrable political interest and awareness will be critical. The parliamentary assistant is essential for the smooth running of the MPs priorities and diary – the successful candidate will be responsible for managing competing interests: liaising with the constituency office to manage my diary and inbox, managing correspondence, coordinating parliamentary and public engagements, and assisting with communications and administrative tasks.

CONTRACT DETAILS
Job title: Parliamentary Assistant
This role is part time, Tuesday to Thursday (24 hours per week)
It is fixed term to 31 March 2026 with the potential to become permanent
Salary is London real living wage of £13.85/h (FTE £28,808/pa)

Location: Westminster office, with occasional travel to the constituency office in Dunfermline
