SNP Budget fails Dunfermline & Dollar

Commenting on the Scottish Budget announced this afternoon, Graeme Downie, Labour Candidate for Dunfermline & Dollar, said:
“Opportunity, aspiration and ambition should be at the heart of plans for Dunfermline to take advantage of city status, yet the SNP are harming the potential for our area by cutting £30m in cities investment next year.”
“Alongside cuts to funding for rail services, a seeming end to Green Economy spending altogether and a reduction in agricultural support, this Budget is asking working people in Dunfermline & Dollar to pay for the mismanagement of the economy by the SNP and the Tories.”
“If elected as the Labour MP for Dunfermline & Dollar next year I will work to use Dunfermline’s city status to deliver more investment and bring more high skilled jobs to places like Rosyth shipyard.”
