Graeme Downie, Scottish Labour’s candidate for West Fife & Coastal Villages will hold his first two “Meet the Voter” events at Marco’s Kitchen in Kincardine and The Stables in Culross later this month.
Graeme has confirmed the event series will be held in local business and community venues to support them and understand what issues they are facing, as well as provide an opportunity to hear from local people, ahead of the council election on 5 May.
The first two events will take place as follows:
- Friday 21 January (10am – 11am) – Marco’s Kitchen, Kirk Street, Kincardine
- Tuesday 25 January (10am – 11am) – The Stables, Culross
Commenting on the announcement,, Graeme Downie, Scottish Labour candidate for West Fife & Coastal Villages, said:
“During this campaign, I want to provide as many opportunities as possible for local people to tell me how they think we can work together to make West Fife & Coastal Villages better and fairer.”
“I have already held a number of digital events and been knocking on people’s doors, and there will be alot more of both before the election, but I want to organise as many different types of event as possible to speak to local people.”
“I want to thank both venues for allowing me to hold events with them and, while this does not imply any support of my campaign, I want to hear from them as well as members of the community about what issues local businesses and venues are facing and how they might be overcome.”
“I hope people will come along and tell me what issues are important to them and how I might be able to help them during the campaign and after if I am fortunate enough to be elected.”
